100 Motivational Quotes to Stop You From Giving Up as a Writer

Sometimes, you just feel like giving up and becoming a failure as a writer all because of the writer’s block that won’t leave you alone. Other times, writing badly makes you want to abandon writing for good.  And oftentimes, you wanting to leave the writing craft behind might be due to the fact that you haven’t be able to complete that book or you haven’t made a dime as a freelancer since you started. So, I imagine, with all this huge let downs here and there, why are you still writing? Why not just give up and fail as a writer? Have you ever asked yourself these negative questions? Have you ever thought of the idea that giving up is the best thing during those periods of HARD TIMES?

Oh, you have?

Failure is not a new word, since nowadays everybody sucks at one thing or the other. However, from my keen observation, I’ve come to decipher that the very thing that will determine whether you’ll fail at something or not is – “you”.

Yes, that’s the truth. Everything worth achieving in this world can only be gotten when “YOU” make up your mind to actually “GO” and get it.

Same with writing, we all know it’s hard to perfect and that the strain of sweats we put into getting to mastery level might be much – but do not be dismayed, persistence will always bring result.

Any writer who has followed every known writing tips strategy gotten from the top writers in the world and has worked tirelessly with those tips in other to get to perfection, will surely get to see results.

Those that succeeded, those you read their published books, or those with authority blogs online, don’t have two brains – they just worked harder and kept on writing in spite of all the ridicule they got for their writing, they didn’t stop but kept on going.

They turned deaf ears to all thoughts of losing; and they never gave room to procrastination.

Having a resolution not to give up is all you need. Though its crap, still stick to that niche you’re currently on, though they laugh at you, still stick to the writing genre you’re in at the moment, and permit nothing to deter you from achieving your dreams.

There you have it!
Never be discouraged. Keep trying the best you can and make sure to be triumphant no matter how hard writer’s block, laziness, procrastination or bad writing brings you down.
Always try and remember these awesome quotes and think very well about the choices these different authors made that brought them success, and how you can possibly apply them altogether to work for you, too.

You’ll surely meet people who will rain demeaning words at you, laugh at you, even reject your first book draft or that wonderful guest post, all in the name of making sure you fail. But, thank God that you can’t give up until you’ve achieved the goal.

Never give them that last laugh, remember what Winston Churchill once said –

Never never ever ever give up!

So, never give up until you’ve tried your best, and don’t stop trying until you have succeeded!
